CycloMedia specialises in the large-scale and systematic imaging of the environment based on Cycloramas (spherical panoramic photographs). Thanks to the unique recording and processing techniques developed by CycloMedia, each day large areas are captured on photographs and placed in an online database. Each recording is tagged with the location, orientation and time, which facilitates a large number of applications, including 3D measuring and modelling.
Because of the versatility of using Cycloramas they are used by a wide range of different users. The images are used by local authorities and provincial authorities, and for public order and security agencies and financial institutions they also represent considerable added value. In addition to the CycloMedia strategic database, special imaging projects are also undertaken on behalf of customers. These range from recreational areas, property for sale or to rent, to company premises and industrial estates.
CycloMedia is making Cycloramas (spherical panoramic photographs) from the public road. Both inside and outside the built-up area the vehicle takes a picture every 5 metres at speeds up to 80 km/h. These photographs are used to realise a national database, which is why you may see a car in your own street. In a large number of municipalities we are taking these pictures by order of the municipal council, others are taken proactively. In the Netherlands CycloMedia employees drive an Opel Corsa which has the CycloMedia logo, bright orange stripes and extra orange flashers. In Flanders the same Opel Corsa only has red stripes.
Cycloramas can only be viewed with a subscription, so you would have to be a customer of CycloMedia. Our services are aimed at the business market and it is not possible for individuals to have a subscription with us. However, as a private resident you may be able to see photographs of your house through one of our customers, for instance your appraisal report with the municipality or if you sell your house via designated websites. It is not possible to request or order one or more Cycloramas directly from us.
There may be different reasons for this. CycloMedia takes its photographs from the public road. One reason may be that your house is too far from the public road
Unfortunately this is not possible. Because the images are encrypted it is not possible to link to a Cyclorama from your private website. If you want to use our images for business purposes you can of course contact us.
