PRESS RELEASE: Cyclomedia Wins RFQ for RAPC

Enabling Regional Storm Water Study

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., July 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Cyclomedia, the leading provider of accurate geospatial imagery-data and data analytics is proud to announce that it has been designated the winner of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Rapides Area Planning Commission (RAPC) in the State of Louisiana. In conjunction with a recent RFQ award for the City of Alexandria, LA, Cyclomedia continues to validate its hard-earned position as the leading provider of street-level imagery and derived analytics to local governments in the US.

RAPC will leverage Cyclomedia's best in class of street level imagery and advanced terrestrial mobile LiDAR to supplement the commission's storm water study.  Specifically, Cyclomedia's data will be used to visualize flooding with its dynamic elevation visualization tools and identify elevation of roadways within the study area.

"There were numerous reasons that Cyclomedia was selected from a deep candidate field," said Jonathan Bolen – RAPC Transportation Director. "But the short version was clear, they were the only bidder who could meet the timelines of the project at the quality levels that we needed to assure that we are able to make insightful and informed decisions with confidence."

"We are absolutely committed to creating the highest value possible for our local government partners such as RAPC," said Chris Baughman, Senior Sales Director - Cyclomedia. "As urbanization exacerbates municipal challenges such as flooding, tax assessment and inventory management, we believe that our top-level quality and ability to deliver projects faster than alternatives aligns with their needs to serve their communities better."
