GIS Technician

Cyclomedia Technology, Inc., a leader in street level imagery and remote sensing data collection is seeking a GIS Technician to support the operations and sales departments in our US headquarters office in Berkeley, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with GIS Analyst to analyze spatial datasets from customers and prospects
  • Perform spatial analysis to determine new project scope
  • Edit spatial data to prepare new projects
  • Perform QA/QC on project data and data extraction deliverables
  • Create maps to support project tracking, sales presentations and internal reporting
  • Assist in the further optimization of project setup, data capturing and post capture deliverables
  • Prepare data files in ArcGIS Desktop using analysis tools

Requirements:

  • Academic preparation and/or one to three years of experience in GIS, imagery and/or related technologies and organizations
  • Experience using ArcGIS Desktop to edit/maintain spatial data
  • Ability to create web maps and apps using ArcGIS Online
  • Ability to problem solve and adjust analysis methods to meet project goals and timelines
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a fast-paced, project-based, team-based environment, distributed across the US
