Employee Feature: Sabrina Marquez

An ever-growing team

The Cyclomedia family is constantly growing with intelligent and unique talents joining our team each month. One of the people who we are lucky to call our coworker is Sabrina Marquez. Since joining Cyclomedia in January 2023 as a Sales Operations Manager, Sabrina has already proven that she is here to make a difference!

Marquez’s family military lineage runs deep, with multi-generational family members serving / having served in the Navy and Army. She is an elected VFW Auxiliary Officer with Post 4089 in Southern California. And, growing up in a Navy family meant Marquez grew up on naval bases, which sparked her initial interest in Public Safety. When she eventually began a career in Public Safety, she noticed how technology was rapidly evolving, and realized there’s a particular cross over between technology, military, and law enforcement.

"Serving those who serve"

Outside of her career, Marquez likes to “serve those who serve”. She was recently re-elected to sit on the board of directors for the Paws4Laws Foundation, an organization which provides food, veterinary, and funeral services for K9s and retired K9s. Their annual event took place this past month, with K9s and their officers competing in trials for prizes, with donations going towards safety equipment for law enforcement K9s, needed equipment for handlers, and more. Marquez’s love of dogs runs deep—in fact, she has two fur babies of her own: a rescue dog named Peppa Bella, and a puppy named Jack!

Joining the Cyclomedia family

When a colleague of hers reposted our ‘careers’ page, Sabrina went in to see if she knew anyone who would fit the role well (“to be a good steward of networking”, as she puts it), and noticed that the role looked as though it was written for her. As she kept reading and saw the technology aspect, and knew she belonged here. Sabrina wants to find innovative ways to weave together Cyclomedia’s technology and Public Safety.

Her favorite part of her position here is that, because the role is so new, she gets to start at ground-level and build out new processes. Marquez enjoys getting to collaborate with each of our four verticals, to take her role and form it into something agile.
